Ring Roller
 
Burns Seamless Ring Roller & Sizer Max 40″ OD, 9″ HT Max 40″ OD, 9″ HT Max 40″ OD, 9″ HT

CAC has installed a new seamless ring roller. The equipment has the capability of producing seamless rolled rings up to 40″ outside diameter, with a 9″ face height.

The ring mill incorporates the latest technology, with an Industrial Vision Camera System to continuously measure and control the ring OD. The wall thickness is controlled using linear transducers on the main ram. The ring ID is accurately calculated, based on the measured OD and wall thickness.

CAC has also incorporated a hydraulic sizer to ensure dimensional conformance and a new free-wheeling forging manipulator to enhance the process.
