At California Amforge, our engineering and design capabilities drive the performance of every new part we forge. From simulation and tooling to real-time collaboration, we integrate precision modeling, in-house die-making, and problem-solving expertise to accelerate development, reduce risk, and ensure production-ready results.  Our team’s focus also includes value added engineering initiatives to lower production costs and deliver on customer expected cost outs.

Engineering That Drives Performance

Forging Design & Simulation

Our Engineering team works directly with customers to create forging designs that meet exacting dimensional and performance requirements—whether for aerospace, defense, or complex industrial applications.

We work with any CAD format, are NIST compliant for the transfer of technical data in any format and have a digital data management system that ensures files are safe and protected

Using advanced simulation software, our engineers can predict how metal will behave throughout each stage of the forging process. These digital simulations allow us to fine-tune die design, anticipate material flow, and prevent manufacturing issues before they happen. The result is a faster path from prototype to production, fewer tooling adjustments, and greater repeatability.

Our fully equipped in-house die shop plays a key role in maintaining speed and quality across every project. Using CNC machining, EDM, and portable CMM laser scanning, we can design and produce forging dies to exact tolerances.  We also have inhouse die maintenance and repair, including welding.  All under one roof.

This in-house capability means faster turnarounds, better control over quality, and a reduced reliance on third-party suppliers.

In-House Tooling & Die-Making

Let’s Solve Your Toughest Engineering Challenges

Every forging we produce is more than a part—it’s a solution. Whether you’re improving a legacy component or launching a new design, our engineers work side by side with your team to enhance manufacturability, reduce weight, and optimize performance from the start.

With advanced simulation, in-house tooling, and collaborative problem-solving, we help you minimize risk, move faster, and deliver on spec—every time.
